DIAGNOSTIC & INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

1.5T MRI SCANNER

NCCI is the first private multispecialty hospital in the city to have a Toshiba Vantage Elan 1.5T MRI scanner installed at its premises. The higher strength MRI scanner means faster scan times and better image quality and a more definitive diagnosis with better outcomes for the patients.

0.35T OPEN MRI SCANNER

The Siemens Magnetom C is one of the truly completely open MRI scanners in the market and a blessing for patients who have an inherent fear of closed tunnels. It is equipped with a unique C-shaped magnet. This provides for easy side loading and a compact design to create an open and free atmosphere for the patients. It is also equipped with extra-large body and knee coils to help accommodate obese patients and provide them with a more comfortable exam.

This is the final answer for all patients suffering from claustrophobia as with the Magnetom C scanner the patient feels as if suspended in midair while being scanned.

At NCCI we are performing:

  • All routine MRI scans
  • Cerebral, carotid and peripheral angiographies,
  • Magnetic resonance cholangio-pancreatography (MRCP),
  • Cardiac MRI.
  • Breast MRI.
The facilities of Open MRI at NCCI are available 24 hours.

COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY

NCCI has a 16 Multislice Toshiba Aquillion CT Scanner with all oncological softwares. This is also a wider bore CT scanner alleviating chances of developing claustrophobia. NCCI has the facility of performing all kinds of head and body scans as well as 3D orthopedic scans and cerebral, carotid and peripheral angiographies. CT guided non-vascular interventions are also performed in our CT division.

The facilities of CT at NCCI are open 24 hours.

BI-PLANE DIGITAL SUBTRACTION ANGIOGRAPHY

This is a recent acquisition and we will be providing regular neuro and peripheral angiographies/interventions as well as cardiac angiographies/interventions.
